TRAILER FRAME
The trailer frame is the backbone of the Concrete TitanÔ Rails are made from heavy-wall 2" x 8" (5.08cm x 20.32 cm) tubing, reinforced at strategic locations, and welded hot with wire-fed welders. Box-section tubing cross-members. Integral 10 gallon capacity (.83 Imperial gallons, 37.85 liters) hydraulic tank, equipped with integral filler breather/strainer and suction strainer, forms front frame member. Tandem 3,500 lb. (1,588 kg) capacity industrial-duty drop axles with slipper-type springs are standard.
BRAKES
4-wheel hydraulic drum-brakes on all wheels are standard. Surge-type actuator is integral to the hitch. All vulnerable piping is enclosed within the frame with industrial bulkhead thru-frame fittings. Backing cam prevents actuation when backing the towing vehicle. Breakaway chain automatically sets the brakes in the event the towing vehicle separates from the Concrete TitanÔ. Electric brakes optional.
LIGHTING
All lighting is U.S.D.O.T. approved. Combination turn signal/stop/running lights are rubber mounted and recessed into the rear bumper for protection from accidental bumping and vibration. Lighted license plate bracket is standard. All wiring is enclosed within the frame for protection. Standard trailer connector with adapters is frame-mounted at the towing hitch. U.S.D.O.T. approved reflectors attached forward and aft on each side of the trailer. Light arrangements can be modified for non-USA customers to comply with local regulations.
HITCH
Heavy-duty 7,000 lb. (3,175 kg) rated “Bulldog” clamp-type hitch for ease in quickly connecting/disconnecting from the towing vehicle. Safety chains standard. Towbar is infinitely crank-adjustable over a 12" (30.5 cm) travel for easy attachment and to set any appropriate tongue-weight. Takes 2.0 inch (5.08 cm) ball.
TIRES
225/75 15 inch (38.1 cm), 8 ply-rated, tubeless radial trailer tires are standard. Radial tires provide low-rolling resistance for easy towing, and exceptional braking and side-sway traction. Bias-ply tires are optional.
DRUM
Precision manufactured of 10 gauge steel with .25 inch (6.35 mm) end-plate. Mounted at the correct angle for both transport and discharge. Seven mixing/discharge flights, and two multi-vaned mixing paddles are standard. Discharge-end equipped with drip-lip. Suspended on the discharge-end by two 8 inch (20.32 cm) 4,500 lb. (2,041 kg) rated industrial casters with greasable 3/4 inch (19 mm) TimkenÔ tapered roller bearings. Safety restraint band is standard. Front-end support is heavy steel trunnion fitted for a two inch (5.08cm) shaft. Capacity is 1.25 cu. yards (.96 cu. meters). NOTE: U.S. D.O.T. weight regulations restrict on-highway capacity to one cubic yard (.77 cu. meters). Rotation speed, forward or reverse, 7 revolutions per minute.
PLANETARY REDUCTION BEARING
The end-plate trunnion is supported by a heavy-duty planetary-type reduction bearing, with a 2 inch (5.08 cm) hardened steel shaft. Bearing runs in oil. Mounted to a one-piece, ½ inch (12.7 mm) formed steel mounting plate for exceptional rigidity and resistance to flexing.
DRIVE MOTOR
Drum Drive is industrial-duty low speed/high-torque gerotor-type hydraulic motor, direct coupled to the Planetary Reduction Bearing. Provides smooth, powerful drum rotation in either direction. Built-in crossover relief valve protects motor and reduction gear from shock loads when starting or reversing. Drive motor is flow-controlled.
HYDRAULIC VALVES
Industrial two-spool control valves control (1) MIX-AGITATE/DISCHARGE drum rotation, and (2) TRANSPORT/DISCHARGE drum lowering/raising. Built-in relief valve protects the hydraulic system at cylinder travel limits. Maximum pressure preset to 2,000 PSI (138 bar). Power-beyond adaptable for adding optional control valve for control of the Titan BinÔ, or other low-flow hydraulic accessories. Inverted spools minimize seal contamination. 25 micron spin-on hydraulic filter mounted to return-side of control valves minimizes hydraulic fluid contamination.
HYDRAULIC PUMP
Simple, efficient gear-type hydraulic pump is coupled to the engine through a heavy-duty LovejoyÔ rubber-spider type coupling. Maximum pressure rating 3,000 PSI (207 bar).
HYDRAULIC CYLINDER
The hydraulic cylinder is 2.0 inches x 23.0 inches (5.08 cm x 58.42 cm), all welded industrial design. Replaceable seals. Inverted to minimize seal contamination. Mounted with 3/4 inch (1.90 cm) steel pins. Provides smooth, flow-controlled raising (discharge) of the drum, and rapid lowering. Locking valves for safety are standard.
ENGINES
A variety of popular engines are available to suit the owner and maintain standardization with other equipment. 8 HP (5.97kw) Kohler Magnum is standard. Available engines include Honda, Robin, Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh and Hatz Diesel. Electric start optional. Stop switch on console standard.
FINISH
Completely primed with industrial primer, and painted with lead-free automotive paint. Standard color scheme is white. Any color-scheme is optionally available to suit the customer.
